The April Holidays are a crucial time for Year 12 students as they prepare for the busiest term of the year in terms of assessment tasks and completing the course content before the end of Term 2. While it is encouraged for students to take a few days off from studying during the April Holidays, it is also important for them to be fully prepared for what Term 2 will bring.
During the bootcamp, students will;
✅ Build essays for upcoming texts and modules of work: This involves analysing and understanding the texts and topics that will be assessed in the coming term. By building essay plans and talking through ideas, students can improve their writing skills and develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
🎯 Attempt exam-style responses for work already completed: This allows students to practice applying their knowledge and skills in exam-like conditions. By simulating exam scenarios, students can identify areas of improvement and refine their approach to answering questions.
💡 Ensure readiness for Term 2: The bootcamp aims to equip students with the necessary tools and strategies to excel in their assessments during Term 2. By addressing any gaps in knowledge and reinforcing key concepts, students can approach the upcoming term with confidence.
Attending the April Mid-HSC allows students to make the most of the April Holidays and ensure they are well-prepared for the assessments ahead.
For Year 11 students, 33% of year 11 is now complete and there are only two terms until you kick off your HSC year. This is an important time to build strong foundations, consolidate your understanding of preliminary HSC topics studied and also look ahead to ensure you start Term 2 strong. Year 11 students who attended our January Bootcamp left feeling energised and confident, having built familiarity with what was to come in the classroom!
Students at bootcamp follow a structure across the 4 hours which ensures that they work on English and other 'frog' subjects and tasks.
